Little Ecclesbourne had such an exciting time last week, when a real owl visited. The children watched as the owl was fed and were amazed as the owl flew around the classroom. They compared the feather of an owl and an eagle. Can you guess which bird is noisy and which is silent, as they fly? The children made lots of interesting guesses about what the owl likes to eat and where he lives.
We have been learning the numbers 1 – 5 by singing songs, counting objects and mark making. The children enjoyed re telling the story Peace At Last, matching objects to the rooms in the house. Outside the children have enjoyed learning how to use the balance bikes and working together to build houses. We have had such a busy first half term.
