BINF – Call 999 – It Is An Emergency!

This week in Yellow Class, we kicked off our exciting new topic, “People Who Help Us!” Our focus this week was police officers.  We were so thrilled when we were able to work as police officers to investigate a mysterious crime scene in our classroom. The adventure began with the discovery that our precious phonics superstar crown had gone missing!

Using our magnifying glasses and detective skills, we set out to uncover the truth. We searched for evidence, filled in police forms, took fingerprints, and even created wanted posters to help catch the mischievous culprit. Each piece of evidence brought us closer to solving the mystery.

But that wasn’t all! We showcased our creative skills by crafting walkie-talkies and cameras to assist in our investigation, making our role as detectives even more exciting.

In addition to our police work, we explored our new role play are; our new pizza restaurant! We took turns being chefs, waiters, and delighted customers. Cooking up our favourite pizzas and serving them made us feel like real chefs, and we had so much fun!

To top off our busy week, we learned a wonderful new skill called “observation drawing.” Using our keen eyes, we drew beautiful real tulips, capturing their colours and shapes on paper using our fine motor skills and drawing skills.

It’s been an incredible week filled with learning and fun, and we can’t wait to discover what exciting mystery await us next week in Yellow Class!
