Our Year 1 classes were thrilled yesterday by the visit of Mrs Jenkins, who brought a whole load of old toys to explore! The visit was part of our topic on ‘Toys’ and the children learned interesting facts about toys from the past. They deepened their understanding of how to differentiate old from new toys. They also learned what type of materials were used and how the toys moved or were played. This immersive workshop will be followed up by some writing next week and we have no doubt everyone will remember this fabulous experience!
