EPS Zoom to the moon!

Today, both our year 1 classes had the most exciting adventure as they jetted off to the moon. The children started their adventure by putting on their space hats and boots on before blasting off from the EPS Space Centre. Once they reached the moon, the children explored a range of messy play textures linked to the moon’s surface and its craters. After all this hard the work, the children decided a picnic on the moon would be the best way to relax.  They made jam sandwiches and space biscuits to enjoy.  Whilst enjoying their picnic, they were visited by a friendly alien from outer space.  The children had lots of fun trying to communicate with their new alien friend and took the opportunity to ask them lots of fantastic questions.  Before the leaving the moon, children looked for treasures they could take back home with them to remember their amazing adventure to the moon! A great day was had by all!

Take a look at the photos below to see the children’s outer space adventure!
