On Tuesday afternoon, Year 1 walked to Sanderstead Recreation to discover human and physical features in their local area. Human features are those made by people and physical features occur naturally. The children found out that Sanderstead has many human features, such as Waitrose, Costa and the petrol station. Despite the rain (which is a physical feature!), Year 1 had lots of fun in the park and they also observed a variety of the signs of autumn linking to our science topic. Next week, the children will draw their own map of the route they took to the park.
