The hall was packed this morning in anticipation of the Year 1 singing concert and it certainly was a show to remember.
Green Class started the show with a wonderful song about snowflakes and a very funny poem about a snowball which had us all laughing. Blue Class then treated us to a rousing rendition of “Jingle Bells” followed by a fabulous performance of a poem about a Christmas tree that just wouldn’t grow. It was then the turn of Violet Class who gave a brilliant performance of “Rudoph the Red-nosed Reindeer” followed by a poem all about the arrival of Father Christmas. Finally, we ended the show with all of Year one singing a rendition of “We wish you a Merry Christmas”. We are so proud of you.
Well done Year One! We were so impressed with your singing. The prosody and actions during your poetry performances were also fantastic. Your excellent behaviour when you were waiting meant everyone had their chance to shine.
Thank to all the parents and carers who were able to join us for this memorable performance.
