Nick Gibb MP commends Atwood for its performance in the Year 4 Multiplication Check in 2022
It came as a pleasant surprise yesterday, that the Schools Minister wrote to me commending Atwood on its outstanding performance in the the 2022 MTC, which placed us in the top 200 schools nationally. My thanks extend to the Year 4 team of last year, Miss Turner and Miss Skelley as well as the Teaching Assistants who contributed to this performance.
As ever, it is nice to receive praise but it should be remembered that each cohort of children is very different and so performance will always vary from year to year, as children learn and retain information at different rates.
