Thrilling girls’ football match against Robert Fitzroy
Here is the match report written by some members of the girls’ football team.
‘On Monday 13th March at our home ground, the Atwood girls’ football team, which consisted of Gracie, Beatrice, Evie, Sophia, Analiese, Ami, Edie, Jodie played exceptionally well on a bright yet blustery day against a strong side from Robert Fitzroy.
Analiese slotted a great goal past the Fitzroy keeper to go 1 nil up in the first half. Atwood’s lead was consolidated by another cracking goal at the feet of Gracie making it 2 nil. After Coach Dave’s half time team talk, the game settled back down until Atwood conceded a penalty, which was saved in brilliant style by Beatrice.’
The game ended up as a 2 nil victory to Atwood. Well played girls.
