In Little Ecclesbourne we have been so busy over the last fortnight. To start our new water themed topic, we have been learning the song ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat’ and enjoying the Commotion in the Ocean poetry book. In maths, we have been exploring repeated patterns and experimenting with capacity. We made silly soup by measuring half full and full cups of sand, glitter, paint and squash. Don’t worry, we didn’t eat it! The children have been exploring water both inside and outdoors. They have been learning all about how to travel on and under the sea. Having explored sea creatures, everyone decided to make either an octopus, a jelly fish or squid. I’m sure you’ll agree their display looks just like a view outside a submarine.
