Cypress Upper: Staying Safe!

This week we had a very special assembly delivered by our Junior Travel Ambassadors showing us how to stay safe on the roads and launching their road safety competitions. We have a Brighten Your Bag competition running until 3rd December where children can win prizes for finding creative ways to brighten their bag to help them be more visible to other road users. If they can’t use a bag, children can also submit a drawing of a brightened bag design on paper. Speak to your class teacher if you need further details. We have also enjoyed Road ‘Safe-Tee’ Day, wearing bright colours to raise awareness of the importance of staying visible when travelling on the street/road.

Rowan Class Assembly

Rowan class also treated us to a very informative and dramatic assembly about Boudicca. They wrote passionate speeches, letters and diary entries; the final speech read by Lucy, rallying the troops to battle was so emotive! Well done to Rowan and class and also a big well done to Ms Weston and Ms Challacombe who helped the children to delover a wpnderful assembly. Parents of Rowan class children can watch a recording of the assembly on the class blog, which will be uploaded by the end of the day.
