Poet kicks off Book Week celebrations with a bang
Award winning poet, Joshua Seigal, has got World Book Week underway with an inspirational assembly.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. It has been a fun-packed day at Cypress Upper! It was so lovely to see so many parents at school today for our annual Cypress Upper Museum Day!
The Year 6 children will be undertaking their Key Stage Two SATs in just a few months, and we are all excited (on some level!)
The snow is melting, flowers are blooming, and the days are getting warmer.
Year 6 Join the Young Voices Choir at the O2 The children in Year 6 have been working hard over the last few months to be ready to take part in Young Voices, the largest children’s choir concert in the world!
Last week, Year 6 travelled to Croydon Fire Station to take part in a range of activities promoting safety and awareness as well as supporting their transition into secondary school.

To promote reading for pleasure, Whitehorse infant and junior schools have teamed up and created a ‘reading buddy’ session once a week.
It has been a busy four days in the run up to the Christmas after what has been a very long term.
It has been a very busy week at Cypress with lots of Christmas performances and plenty of hard work taking place!
This week has seen Atwood take to the stage with 7 Christmas performances and a Rock and Roll concert from Rocksteady.
It has been a week of wonderful shows at Atwood with 7 performances across a range of classes and ages.
Shadufs As part of their design and technology learning, the children in Year 6 have been making shadufs.
We are feeling festive at Cypress! The Christmas trees are up and the decorative Christmas hoops are on display in the hall.
